VACANCY: FRANCHISE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

MWOS Malawi (Moors World of Sport) is seeking a qualified and experienced Franchise Business Development Manager to join our team in Blantyre.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of the MWOS franchise network across Malawi. The role requires a commercially minded professional with strong relationship management, business development and operational skills to support sustainable franchise growth and maintain high standards across the network

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate potential franchise opportunities across Malawi.
• Conduct market research and analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop business plans and strategies to support franchise expansion.
• Recruit, onboard and provide ongoing support to franchise partners.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and key stakeholders.
• Monitor franchise performance, profitability and operational standards.
• Ensure franchise partners comply with company policies, brand guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Marketing and other internal teams on franchise-related campaigns and promotional activities.
• Identify operational challenges and support franchisees in implementing appropriate solutions.
• Prepare regular reports on franchise performance, market developments and business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Marketing and Technology teams to ensure franchisees have the necessary support and resources.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, relationship management or a similar commercial role.
• Experience in franchising, retail networks, distribution or multi-site operations will be an added advantage.
• Strong market research, data analysis and strategic planning skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good understanding of business operations and performance management.
• Familiarity with sports betting, gaming, entertainment or technology-driven businesses is an advantage.
• Proficiency in using digital platforms and standard business applications.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel within Malawi.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to ethical and compliant business practices.
